What an historic, unforgettable day for Valley Rovers LGFA! Yesterday, our exceptional U16 Ladies Football team produced an epic performance to capture the County Championship A2 Title in Carrigadrohid.

With this monumental victory, these players have officially earned their place at the absolute "top table" of Ladies Football, positioning Valley Rovers as one of the top 8 clubs in the entire county at the A Grade.

While yesterday's trophy lift was a moment of pure magic, a victory of this magnitude does not happen overnight. This triumph is the culmination of 10 years of dedication, sessions, and games in the green and white stripes.

This journey began a decade ago when these girls and their mentors first gathered at the club's Academy.

Parents stepped up to coach, and together, mentors and players embarked on this journey. Over the years, they learned together, grew together, faced setbacks together, and worked tirelessly to climb the competitive ladder in the Valleys green and white.

Talent alone only takes a team so far. An extraordinary amount of credit must go to the coaching team - Brian, Liam, Shirley, Cathy, Sinead, Michael and others over the years, who have prepared these girls physically, tactically, and mentally to perform under the highest pressure.

Behind every great team is an army of support. This victory belongs just as much to the families and parents who have been there every single step of the way transporting the girls near and far to training and matches, Keeping the gear ready and preparing the meals, and managing the inevitable highs and lows of a child's sporting journey. Yesterday was the reward for all your sacrifices.
