We are absolutely thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to our Intermediate Ladies Football team on their fantastic victory over Rosscarbery in the relegation playoff. In what was a highly competitive clash, the class, experience, and character of this exceptional group of players shone through to secure a comfortable and well-deserved victory in the end.

This team has faced a particularly grueling championship group this season. Despite putting in some incredibly strong performances in earlier rounds, the high level of competitiveness in Cork Ladies Football—and indeed nationally—means there is absolutely no margin for error.

Finding themselves in a playoff to maintain their status was a tough challenge, but it is one this squad met head-on with resilience and grit. This group of players deserves massive credit for their unwavering willingness to represent Valley Rovers with pride, showing their true pedigree when the stakes were highest.

A huge debt of gratitude and congratulations goes to our dedicated management team: Michelle O'Regan, Mary Cremin, Sean Twohig, and Tadh O'Mahoney.

Their efforts all year have been tireless, guiding this squad through a demanding season. The management used the latter stages of the championship to introduce several of our promising U16 players to Intermediate football—a vital step that will stand to them as they prepare for their own County Final next Saturday!(Throw-In 1pm Saturday 10th Carrigadrohid(Eircode P12 XP03) vs Douglas)

With such strong numbers and outstanding talent coming through at the U16 level, the future of Valley Rovers Ladies Football is incredibly bright. The experience our younger players gained alongside our seasoned intermediates this year will undoubtedly serve as the foundation for our adult teams to shine in the coming years.

Well done again to the players, management, and backroom team. You have made the entire club immensely proud, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this fantastic group of athletes!
