We are opening up, the upcoming heart screening programme to all players, aged 12-18 years old, male & female, in the club (i.e, players of all ages across the juvenile, adult, camogie and ladies football teams).

Registrations stand at 13 to date, with 32 spaces remaining. Minimum numbers are required for the screening to go ahead, so please spread the word and encourage others to book promptly.

Valley Rovers in conjunction with the Dillon Quirke Foundation and Advanced Medical Services, will host a Mobile Cardiac Screening at Scoil Eoin, Innishannon on June 8th, 2026.

We would appreciate it if the coordinators of each team could push it out through their own communication channels.

The charity covers the cost but we would hope that individuals will donate in lieu (https://www.dillonquirkefoundation.com/donate). Individuals with LAYA health insurance are encouraged to use this when booking, as it means 1 less screening fee for the charity.

Why attend cardiac screening? Cardiac Screening helps prevent Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). Approx. 2 young people die per week in Ireland from SADS

Date: Monday 8th June 2026, 9:00am - 5pm
Venue: Scoil Eoin, Church Hill, Innishannon, Cork, T12 PX94
